Joseph Campbell, in the book The Hero with a Thousand Faces said 'Dream is the personalized myth, myth the depersonalized dream...' (Campbell 1949, p. 19). For those of us who love stories, who think in terms of tales, we interpret our lives with the metaphors they contain.

My work is about these myths and dreams; ways of interpreting them, ways of re-presenting them in an image that provokes an instinctive understanding, a piece of art that carries a resonance in some part of the viewer's conscious or subconscious mind, rather than straight illustrations. Mirror images of mirrored truths; symbols of symbolic reality; said in whispers, shown in the corners of the eyes, hidden in plain sight.
